What is an Employer-Sponsored Visa in Australia?
An Employer-Sponsored Visa allows Australian employers to address labor shortages by sponsoring skilled workers from overseas to fill specific positions within their organization.
What types of Employer-Sponsored Visas are available?
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482): Allows employers to sponsor skilled workers for up to four years, depending on the occupation's classification.
Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa (Subclass 186): A permanent residency visa for skilled workers nominated by an Australian employer.
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 494): Enables regional employers to address labor shortages by sponsoring skilled workers to work in regional areas.

Are there any age restrictions for Employer-Sponsored Visas?
Generally, applicants must be under 45 years of age at the time of application. However, exemptions may apply in specific circumstances.
Can Employer-Sponsored Visa holders change employers?
Yes, but the new employer must be an approved sponsor and nominate the visa holder for a position that meets the visa requirements. The visa holder must not cease employment for more than 60 consecutive days.
